I'm Reggie Davis.
I’m the author of Better Together: Embracing the Discomfort of Difference and the founder of Uplift Coaching and Consulting. For over two decades, I’ve worked as a pastor and leadership coach, helping people navigate the hard, necessary conversations that lead to deeper connection and lasting change.
I believe real growth begins where comfort ends. My journey, from small-town roots to ministry leadership to coaching diverse teams, has taught me that difference doesn’t have to divide us. In fact, when we lean into discomfort with empathy and courage, we discover the kind of unity that transforms communities.

A few things to know about me…
I grew up in a small town where community wasn’t just a word, it was a way of life. That early sense of belonging shaped how I see the world and how I show up in it. I've spent twenty years leading and serving in various communities, walking with people through the kind of conversations that stretch us, challenge us, and ultimately bring us closer together. I’ve learned that growth doesn’t happen in the comfort zone. It happens when we’re willing to sit in the tension, ask hard questions, and stay present.
I founded UpLift Coaching and Consulting because I believe in the power of intentional leadership. Leadership that’s rooted in empathy, courage, and a willingness to embrace difference. My first book, Better Together: Embracing the Discomfort of Difference, is a reflection of that belief. It’s not a manual or a checklist. It’s a heartfelt invitation to lean into discomfort and discover what’s possible when we choose connection over avoidance.
I’m most alive when I’m helping people build bridges: across cultures, across teams, across divides. I don’t pretend to have all the answers, but I do have a deep commitment to walking alongside others as they ask the right questions. I believe empathy is a leadership skill, and courage is a daily choice. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: we’re BETTER TOGETHER.
