Lani Grass
A certified life coach and speaker, Lani is the founder of Wave of Women, an organization that focuses on empowering the next generation of female leaders in their professional and private success. Her primary focus is working with clients to identify their own unique identity, how to show up in the world authentically and building a path to self-actualization. Lani is known for her thoughtful leadership, unique coaching, and actionable programs.
Having a varied background of working in retail, non-profits, start-ups, healthcare, as well as in the corporate world, Lani truly understands the power of words and being one’s true and authentic self. One of the most impactful experiences that transformed her thinking was when she worked at the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce. Having grown up in the United States as a First-Generation Asian immigrant and desiring to fit in, she lost touch with her heritage. This experience gave her a perspective of what it looks like to live and understand mainstream culture yet look very different and feel the subtleties of not really belonging.
Since arriving in Hawaii from Thailand at a young age, Lani has lived in Washington, Alaska, Hawaii again, Oregon and Texas, and so is very adept to changing and adapting to regional differences in culture, beliefs, and attitudes. She believes that we have so much more in common than we will every know and that people of all backgrounds are inherently good and trying their best every day.
Lani will always consider herself an island girl, but is loving exploring her new home state of Texas. She is blessed with a small hobby farm and loves to garden and decorate spaces to feel welcoming and warm.
