Philip Walkley

Philip Walkley is an experienced nonprofit executive with a passion for creating a more equitable world through developing compassionate and confident servant leaders. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor of arts in music but has spent most of his professional career working in the nonprofit sector. He currently serves as the executive director of Service Over Self (SOS), a nonprofit organization providing home repair, vocational training, and leadership development in underserved neighborhoods in Memphis, TN. Philip has served as a nonprofit coach and consultant for more than five years and has experience serving on several nonprofit boards of directors. He also has nearly two decades of experience as a public speaker and facilitator, serving as everything from a keynote speaker to a workshop facilitator for organizations, events, and conferences of all sizes. To hone his skills and further explore his passion for service, Philip is currently completing his Masters in Public Service through the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service with an anticipated graduation of February 2024.

Philip is a Memphis transplant but now calls this beloved city home, fully embracing the music, the food, the Grizzlies, and the gritty determination embodied here. He lives in Memphis with his wife and three kids. He loves running and cycling really early in the morning, cooking (and eating!), completing jigsaw puzzles, and is an unashamed choir nerd.
